COMRAD SMS Texting

COMRAD now supports automated SMS TXT

Currently clerical staff use appointment worklists to identify upcoming appointments and which patients to manually phone with a reminder.

The SMS service can replace this manual system by sending an automated text message to the patient’s mobile phone in cases where the patient has indicated their preferred method of contact is by SMS txt. This text can be customised to suit the customer or be sent using a standard template noting the date, time and location of the appointment. The frequency and timing of these texts are able to be customised.

With the COMRAD Jasmine release (currently being rolled out) the SMS TXT functionality has been enhanced to allow SMS text messages to be sent to referrers indicating that specific reports are ready.

Example 1

An automated Txt message could be generated by the system and sent to all patients 24 hours before their appointment is due to remind them of that appointment.

Example 2

An automated Txt message could be sent to referrers to inform them that their patient’s report is ready. The referrer then could come online via webCOMRAD and review all the clinical information about their patient and review the images.
Manual ad-hoc txt messages can also be generated at any time to any one and there is an option to txt any staff member.
